STEM Projects at ALES!
Dr. Stickney's Fifth Grade Class

In Dr. Stickney’s classroom, students are engaged in exciting projects, including building bridges, solar-powered robots, mechanical hands, and radios. They are preparing to showcase and teach these projects to other students during the upcoming Science/STEM Day, scheduled for April 22 at Andre Lucas Elementary. These 5th-grade STEM projects allow students to explore real-world problems and design practical solutions while developing critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills.
The STEM projects align with the DoDEA math standards, focusing on fractions, geometry, and measurement. Additionally, these activities effectively reinforce core concepts in reading comprehension, science, technology, and engineering, supporting all relevant educational standards.
