Andre Lucas Pre-K and PSCD students celebrated “Spina Bifida Month” on October 25, 2024. To spread awareness, Everson Andrew’s mom, Mallory, and sister, Ellie, presented Ms. Kristie’s and Mrs. Peltier’s Pre-K classes with a book on accepting others. They also conducted a Q&A session about Spina Bifida, shared cupcakes, and provided coloring pages supporting awareness and acceptance. The classes had a wonderful time and celebrated having Everson and his family share their information.
Additionally, the event aimed to foster a sense of community and understanding among the students. The interactive session allowed the children to ask questions and learn more about Spina Bifida in an engaging and supportive environment. This initiative not only raised awareness but also promoted empathy among the young students.
