ALES Celebrates Hispanic Heritage
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in Third Grade
As the vibrant colors of autumn begin to paint the landscape, schools across the nation celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. This year, third graders at Andre Lucas Elementary embraced the occasion with enthusiasm, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the rich cultures that comprise Hispanic heritage.
There is no better way to truly celebrate Hispanic culture but by organizing a cultural immersion event. A very warm thank you to Mrs. Verenice Berrantes for an informative and inspiring presentation on her home country of Colombia. Thank you also to Christopher and his family who helped translate for our 3rd graders. Muchas Gracias!!!
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month provided third graders at Andre Lucas Elementary with a meaningful opportunity to explore, understand, and respect the diverse cultures within the Hispanic community. Through crafts, food, music, and dance, students not only learned about Hispanic heritage but also built connections that will last a lifetime. As they continue to grow and learn, these young students carry forward the spirit of celebration, inclusion, and understanding that is essential in our increasingly interconnected world.
